And they hanged their little toes on the nose

I'm very proud and happy to say that our first event for the kids which is the Time to Hang: Fun Longboarding competition for the Kids is a huge success.
It was the very first longboard competition for our little sliders here in La Union and if i'm not mistaken the first competitive longboard comp for kids here in the Philippines.
You cannot contain yourself seeing those little piggies hang on the nose on those longboards thrice their size.
Happiness is all you can see on their cute little faces as they paddle towards the line-up and cannot wait to show the crowd what they've got.

I hope you'll enjoy viewing our photos and feel free to share.:)

At a young age of 11, Arjay Lopez earns his first longboard title, He won the contest against 19 other kids.

The older brother of Arjay, Warren, also is a young promising longboarder.
Here we can see him cross stepping to the nose.

The gangster amongst them all, Kingking, stylin' ala Alex Knost.

Before their heat starts, Kingking told Benito that he will do his signature move, the captain logger moves.

Arjay's precise noseriding led him to the finals

Time to Hang: Longboarding for the Little Ones

La Union is known to be the home of  the best longboarders in the
Philippines. From progressive to classic stylists, you can find most of them here.

In an effort to promote longboard surfing amongst the next generation,
we're planning to have a small competition for the kids.

Most longboarding comps are for adults and/or pros, while kids their age
are neglected. Hence this competition, which will serve as an avenue for them to show their skills and talents.

It's sure to be fun watching our young longboarders surf it out. So come over and see this first longboard competition for the kids.

Thank you to Buji Libarnes for the clips.

Angel and Marie.

It's a rare occurrence here in the Philippines for a couple to share the
love  and passion for surf and the ocean.
Angel and Marie are one of them. They met and fell in love because of surfing.
But, I'm saving their story for another post here in M&S.
For now, let's just enjoy these photos showcasing the power couple.

It's very rare for us to see Marie on her frontside, but when she does, it's one of the best scene you'll see on women's longboarding.
And very few times does she show us her noseriding  skills.
