the Sea Gypsies

I had the chance, once again, to surf with one of longboarding's most graceful pair of foot on earth.
We surfed mostly the log perfect spots in Baler, spots like the pedervera, lindy's , lobot, and the Charlie's point. I also got the chance to be with
friends again that shares the same passion, logging.

I managed to snap some late afternoon photos last April 20, 2013 and here's what I got.
Big thanks to Pau ( Mia Sebastians friend) for the camera.

Late afternoon session about to start.

Baler's  looks different with this photo as told by
Wilson Faraon, One of Baler's hottest surfer,

Mia Sebastian's signature move, this time captured via motion blur.

The most influential logger in the Philippines, who brought us all together, Buji Libarnes having fun at
FederVera.

Noseriding before it gets dark

Even non surfers were amazed on how bindy navigates her seacraft

It would have been a perfect capture.
Oh well next time.

I will surely go back to Baler this time of year next season.
And I will be ready.

Again, I hope you enjoyed viewing the photos, feel free to share.

And they hanged their little toes on the nose

I'm very proud and happy to say that our first event for the kids which is the Time to Hang: Fun Longboarding competition for the Kids is a huge success.
It was the very first longboard competition for our little sliders here in La Union and if i'm not mistaken the first competitive longboard comp for kids here in the Philippines.
You cannot contain yourself seeing those little piggies hang on the nose on those longboards thrice their size.
Happiness is all you can see on their cute little faces as they paddle towards the line-up and cannot wait to show the crowd what they've got.

I hope you'll enjoy viewing our photos and feel free to share.:)

Kingking Villanueva. A talented young slider showing us how to noseride the proper way.

At a young age of 11, Arjay Lopez earns his first longboard title, He won the contest against 19 other kids.

Stylin' with 10 toes on the nose

The older brother of Arjay, Warren, also is a young promising longboarder.
Here we can see him cross stepping to the nose.

The gangster amongst them all, Kingking, stylin' ala Alex Knost.

Peryong, as we often call him, smiling while chasing the wall.

Harold, one of the finalist, about to give us a legit hang 5

Before their heat starts, Kingking told Benito that he will do his signature move, the captain logger moves.

Arjay's precise noseriding led him to the finals
